  Inaugural function  
Inaugural function of the seminar began at 11:00 am.

  • Lightening the inaugural lamp by Smt. Kamla Singhvi (wife of late Shri M.L. Singhvi) and her daughter, Shri M.L.Bhatt (Vice Chancellor) of IASE and Chairman of seminar Shree Kanak Mal Dugar. The programme was followed by chanting prayer Uttrotama patha par……. by Shree Bharat Dugar and Smt. Bharati Sethia.
 Welcome speech was delivered by Kanak Mal Dugar. He expressed his views on peace and harmony. He honoured Smt. Kamala Singhvi wife of Late Dr. L.M. Singhvi. Smt. Abhilasha Singhvi daughter of late Dr. L.M. Singhvi tributed her father by recollecting his contribution to the society as well as his own family.

The program was progressed by blessing of Swamiji Shri Somgiri Ji Maharaj on is address Mr. Charles Mercieca said that teachers should be dedicated and sincere in their profession.


Hon. V.C. Gujarat Vidyapeeth, Prof Iyengar said that the seminar will successfully if teachers go with personal agenda of self that teachers should go with personal agenda of self purification. Shramani Charitra Pragya Ji Hon. V.C. Jain Vishva Bharati, emphasized that self-discipline in education is essential.

Kiran Yadav from Parliament of Nepal read the massage of President of Nepal. The Vote of thanks was given by Shri M.L. Bhatt.


Plenary session: “UNIVERSAL VISION AND THE PHILOSOPHICAL FRAMEWORK”
  
Started at 2 pm. Maulana Wahid Uddin Khan was the chief guest of this session. He said that peace is not a simple thing but a way of life.

 
There is no progress and development without peace. M.K. Kaw chairperson of this session that there is a need of science of spirituality. Prof. Jaheed from Iran said that there should have clean image of nature of human being before us. Dr. Sudarshan Iyengar today co-chair person of this session emphasised that for peace there should be no difference between our personal and public life. This session was followed by the speeches of Prof. Marcos Estarada, Prof. R.P. Sharma, Prof. Sanjay Pandey and T.N. Chaudhary.

Thematic session:
Tagore Hall: The Subject of “Relevance of Universal Human values and Peace based Education” was chaired by Shramani Charitra Pragya and co-chaired by Prof. H. R. Shrivastava began at 4 pm. In this session Dr Geeta Rai, Dr Bindu, Dr Ranjana Suri, Subhash Chandra, Dr Ritesh Vyas presented their power point presentations.



Prof. H.R.Shrivastava discussed and explained about 41 values (General values and universal values) and also threw light on teacher’s role in education for peace and harmony. Shramani Charitra Pragya expressed her views on presented papers and on universal values which are unchangeable with time and space.

The Einstein Hall: The session of Humanization of Teacher Education was chaired by Prof. Sudarshan Iyengar, co-chaired by Kiran Yadav. It was seriously discussed how present teacher education could be made more humanized.

The B.N. Panday Hall: The session of Co-existence and Harmony through Teacher Education was chaired by Dr. Rajendra Khimani, registrar of Gujarat Vidyapith, Ahmedabad.



In this session Ms. Gauri Shri Hari, Dr. Anil, Mr Anees, Dr Vandana, Dr Sanghamitra, I.Xavier Durai, Sanjay Goyal presented their papers. Dr Rajendra Khimani said that we should respect diversity of the society. We should not put over burdoned syllabus on the students but should be students friendly, interesting and creative.
  • Special session was arranged at Satyagraha Hall to release the book “ABC of Harmony.”

The program was chaired by Shri Kanak mal Dugar. Vote of thanks were presented by Dr Surender Pathak.
