The Department of Management at IASE has been designed to impart all-round skills, capabilities and competency in the areas of business and management. The course structure is a rational mix of core and optional modules enabling specialization in Marketing, Finance, Human Resource Management and Information Technology. The University motivates the academically strong faculty members to continuously develop innovative ways of using the technological infrastructure in support of teaching-learning process for the Students.
Through its carefully designed and contemporary curriculum, delivered by a mix of faculty from the best of academics and industry and a work culture that treats every student as a manager from the moment he/she enters the institute. The Department designs and undertakes its activities in such a way that students acquire upto date knowledge of the subject, develop managerial skills and cultivate soft skills so crucial to success, in an integrated way. The department's curriculum for its programmes is reviewed and improved constantly keeping in view the perceived needs of business in future.
A variety of learning tools are used for the acquisition of knowledge and skills. Role-play, case study, project-work, field experience, assignments, quiz, seminars, industry visits, group discussion are some of the methods used. Student managers are encouraged to develop analytical judgment and presentation skills through writing and publication of articles, features and presentations, at various plateforms including in-house publications, workshops and seminars
